Jung Manchu

Green Gang member Jung Manchu fancies himself an American gangster, wears his fedora on a tilt and tries to emulate American slang but always gets it wrong; a source of humor to those around him, Jung is an Asian Paulie Walnuts. Jung has witnessed many of the Green Gang’s subversive activities.

Although Du Yuesheng utilizes Jung reluctantly, Huang Jingrong considers Jung a man on the rise. Jung is content with himself. Although violent and short-tempered, he is not a heartless killer. He requires justification for his actions, a quality he must cover up for fear of being labeled inadequate.

Jung Manchu studies American films to pick up on gangster slang.

“Everything’s jake, boss!”
